In the town of San Juan, in Batangas province, there is a small restaurant that would take you back in time. Situated just right around the corner, a few walks from the public market, is this lovely place known as "Cafeño Manila Cafe". Travelers may not notice it right away, but the key to finding it is to really visit this wonderful municipality home to wonderful beaches, the Laiya Resort, creatively-designed potteries, and fresh fish of many kinds.  Let me take you to a short tour and let us see what's inside this café. The Sewing Machine This old, rusty, but kind of functioning pedal of a sewing machine is something that will remind you that back in the old days, our clothes are made from our own land. I stepped and began to pedal, I remember a very kind and giving person, my Lola who's now 84 years old. And she has this sewing machine too, all working and running! Would you believe that!  In 2020, a few months back before the Pandemic hits the country and the world, we were busy in our small lot in Batangas province. The area is like the size of a basketball court, with nothing but grasses and a small Ipil-Ipil tree. I was like thinking then, where do I want to go from here? Until I started something great. The process is not easy, but painstakingly challenging and complicated. We were still residing in Cavite that time. What we only have is a motorcycle and it takes about two to three hours of driving from Cavite to this remote place in Batangas province, my hometown. I remember the quarantine protocols induced by Covid-19 restrictions posed a lot of difficulties in putting up this small lot from dry land to now a thriving farm and garden of lively creatures.  We walk. We climb. We run. We drive. We paddle. We fly. We travel. In some occasion, we stretch out our feet and arms to the limits just to reach places that we'd love to be in. Our adventure-seeker mindset brings us to places, and we feel the excitement going there. There is something in that journey that makes us fulfilled, be it travelling in foreign lands or just in the nearby towns and cities where we live. What about that experience?
